Sony PDW- F335 - XDCAM

The Sony XDCAM HD system is a highly versatile production tool that offers flexible recording functions including a choice of video frame rates, interlace or progressive modes, recording data rates, and both HD and SD formats. The PDW-F335L XDCAM HD Camcorder features MPEG HD and DVCAM switchable recording with three 1/2-inch HD CCDs. It is capable of recording 1080 video lines of multiple frame rates at a high bit rate of up to 35 Mbps. It also provides four channels of high-quality uncompressed audio. This allows an SD to HD migration path to a complete HD-based environment. Down-conversion output to SD is a standard feature in this camera. Instant random access, replay of clips, IT network capability and the proxy data advantage provide for an exceptional workflow. The PDW-F335L provides excellent picture quality, adapting Power HAD HD CCDs (1440x1080). It offers HD recording in 1080/59.94i, 50i, 29.97P, 25P and native 23.98P and the operator can also select the desired bit rate to record either: 35 Mbps, 25 Mbps and 18 Mbps depending on the desired picture quality and recording length. Being a dual format camcorder, it can also record in DVCAM mode at 25 Mbps. In addition to these impressive capabilities, the PDW-F335L also provides numerous innovative features like Slow Shutter, Clear Scan, Interval Recording and Auto Focus function. It also supports i.LINK interface for File Access Mode and DV stream output (including down-conversion from HD material).

Panasonic AG-AF101 (AF100)

The Panasonic AG-AF101 or AF100 is what a lot of people have been waiting for, 35mm depth of field, with the form and functionality of a video camera. It’s made up of a Micro 4/3 sensor in a pro video camera body, complete with XLR audio inputs, numerous lens mount options, and uncompressed HD-SDI output.

The Panasonic AF101 has recently been approved by the BBC when used with the Nanoflash recorder (which is available for rent separately). It comes with a Panasonic Vario HD 14-140mm and a 45mm-200mm lens, Nikon adapter, two large capacity batteries, 32gb and 16gb cards.

Toshiba TU48 3CCD PAL Broadcast Quality minicam

Toshiba TU48 3CCD PAL Broadcast Quality minicam with C mount lenses thats smaller than a box of matches. These are high end standard definiton minicams which are suited to live OB and studio shoots as they can be matched to broadcast cameras. The camera is cabled to a CCU (camera control unit) before connecting to a recording device. Zacuto Indie Rig

The Zacuto Indie Kit takes the Cine Kit even further by allowing the entire rig to be used shoulder-mounted. The Indie Kit includes all of the mounting equipment needed for the independent filmmaker – you can mount a matte box, follow focus, wireless microphone receiver and external monitor (Zacuto Z-Arm is included) .

The Kit comes with the Zacuto Universal baseplate and can be used with both DSLR's and Video cameras.

Zacuto Follow Focus

Zacuto's Flippable Reversible Z-Focus is an extremely accurate follow focus for 15mm lightweight rods. The mechanism utilizes a set of gears that connect to and spin the focus ring or Zacuto zip gear on the camera lens. The white disk allows the focus puller to create distance marks for repeatable focus pulls. This Z-Focus has a new flippable design so you can quickly remove the follow focus and flip it from the operator to the assistant side in seconds. It also has a reversible feature which allows you to quickly reverse the direction of the follow focus drive unit so it rotates in the opposite direction which is useful when focusing Nikon lenses.

Covergent Design Nanaoflash

The NanoFlash is a portable HD/SD recorder/player designed to mount on a
camcorder. It is also suited for use in a studio environment. The NanoFlash is
designed to record higher quality images than the camera itself, using the camera’s
uncompressed 4:2:2 HD-SDI or HDMI output.
NanoFlash accepts an incoming HD/SD-SDI video signal, with embedded audio and
timecode or an HDMI video and audio signal.
The NanoFlash records the video/audio as MPEG2 at user selected bit-rates, using
Long-GOP or Intraframe recording, in native Quicktime for Final Cut Pro, or MXF for
Avid, Sony Vegas, Edius and other non-linear editors.

The Nanoflash Comes with mounts, two Convergent design rechargable batteries, CF cards, and remote control.

Zacuto Z Finder

The Z-Finder Pro 3x is another one of Zacuto’s Optical Viewfinders that allows DSLR cameras to have the correct form factor for video. It offers 3x focusable magnification ,a 40mm diameter Zacuto optical designed lens, an anti-fog coating protective cover, an eyecup preventing extraneous light leakage, a diopter and a field of view perfectly matched to 3” LCD screens. The diopter allows you to dial in the focus to match your eye.
