Canon 5D Mark 11

The Canon 5D Mark II has been embraced by the independent film community for its low light sensitivity, shallow depth of field and interchangeable lens selection. It boasts a full frame 35mm CMOS sensor that is physically larger than the RED ONEs, and therefore a shallower depth of field.

The Canon 5D can shoot full HD 1080 24p which with the right lenses and knowledge can give an excellent film look to your footage and compares favourably to footage shot on cameras costing multiples more.

It is now being used by NBC and the BBC to shoot primetime drama, most notably 'House' in the US and the upcoming series of 'Hustle' on the BBC.

Kit includes camera body, Canon EF 24-105mm f/4 L IS USM lens, 2 batteries, 2 16GB and 2 8GB cards.

Zacuto Indie Rig

The Zacuto Indie Kit takes the Zacuto Cine Kit even further by allowing the entire rig to be used shoulder-mounted. The Zacuto Indie Kit includes all of the mounting equipment needed for the independent filmmaker – you can mount a matte box, follow focus, wireless microphone receiver and external monitor (Zacuto Z-Arm is included).

The rent Kit comes with the Zacuto Universal baseplate and can be used with both DSLR's and video cameras.

Zacuto Follow Focus

Zacuto's flippable reversible Z-Focus is an extremely accurate follow focus for 15mm lightweight rods. The mechanism utilizes a set of gears that connect to and spin the focus ring or Zacuto zip gear on the camera lens. The white disk allows the focus puller to create distance marks for repeatable focus pulls. This Z-Focus has a new flippable design so you can quickly remove the follow focus and flip it from the operator to the assistant side in seconds. It also has a reversible feature which allows you to quickly reverse the direction of the follow focus drive unit so it rotates in the opposite direction which is useful when focusing Nikon lenses.

(Please note this unit has a standard Cine .8 pitch gear, please make sure the lenses you are using conform to this, belt adapters are available at an extra cost. You also need 15mm bars which are not included)

Zacuto Z Finder

The Zacuto Z-Finder Pro 3x is another one of Zacuto’s optical viewfinders that allows DSLR cameras to have the correct form factor for video. It offers 3x focusable magnification, a 40mm diameter Zacuto optical designed lens, an anti-fog coating protective cover, an eyecup preventing extraneous light leakage, a diopter and a field of view perfectly matched to 3” LCD screens. The Zacuto Z Finder diopter allows you to dial in the focus to match your eye.

Canon Speedlite 550EX E-TTL Flash

Speedlite 550EX is the main component of a new flash system designed together with the EOS-3 SLR camera. It provides full compatibility with the new area AF technology employed by the EOS-3 and refined E-TTL autoflash for improved performance. Other main features include a maximum Guide Number of 180 (ISO 100, ft.), an AF-assist beam which links to the EOS-3's 45-point area AF, FP Flash (high speed sync), FE lock (a flash version of AE lock), and FEB (Flash Exposure Bracketing). The Speedlite 550EX also incorporates a built-in wireless transmitter, which can control other Speedlite 550EX units set up as slave units. Flash coverage is set automatically from 24mm to 105mm, and a wide-angle panel extends the coverage to 17mm. The new Speedlite runs on 4 AA-size batteries, and can also be used with optional external power supplies such as Compact Battery Pack E and Transistor Pack E. Recycling times are faster than those experienced with the Speedlite 540EZ. Speedlite 550EX is compatible with all EOS models.
